Pool Leak

To find out if you have a pool leak you should close one or both valves on your vacuum breaker. This should be next to the water outlet on the side of your house or in the pool equipment area. Both valves on the picture on the left are open.

This will turn your pool auto-fill off.

COMPLETE A BUCKET TEST

Fill a bucket with water and place it on the first step in the pool. Mark the water level in the bucket and mark the pool level on the outside of the bucket. 24 hours later check the difference in the water levels. Both the pool and the bucket evaporate at the same rate. If the pool has a leak it will loose more water then the bucket.

Once you are sure that you have a leak, it is time to call the experts to locate it.
